The Year of Community and Service Unified in One Goal "Student Achievement" What is Small Learning Communities? Small Learning Communities speaks to student-centered curriculum and instruction and collaboration among all members of the community. Integrated learning provides examples of real-world learning and thus establishes patterns of lifelong learning. It improves the academic achievement of all students in those who will begin their careers directly after high school, those who are going on to some post secondary education or training, and those who will obtain four year college degree.
